About 360book

360book is a free website where authors publish the first pages of their books and readers flip through them in 3D, right in the browser. There is nothing to install and readers never need an account.

Why we built it

In a bookshop you pick a book up, feel its weight, look at the spine and read a page or two before you decide. Online, most books are a small flat cover picture and a paragraph of blurb. 360book tries to bring the bookshop moment back: every book on the site is a 3D object you can turn around, open and read from the first page.

For readers

  • Free and open. Open any book from the library and start reading. No sign-up, no app.
  • A real book, not a scan. Drag to turn the book, click a page to flip it, or use the slider to jump ahead. A flat reading view is there if you prefer it.
  • Light on data. Pages are compressed and only load when you reach them, so previews work on a phone connection.
  • Easy to share. Every book has its own link that opens straight into the preview.

For authors

  • Publish in minutes. Upload a PDF or page images from your dashboard, choose a book design and cover colour, and pick exactly which pages readers can see.
  • Your book stays yours. You keep every right in your work. The PDF is converted to preview images inside your own browser, and only those preview pages are published.
  • Previews only. There is no download button, and the full book is never stored on 360book.
  • You are in control. Unpublish or delete a book, or your whole account, whenever you like. Your dashboard shows how many people viewed and opened each book.

What we stand for

  • Respect for authors. Only upload work you own or have permission to publish. Every book has a Report button and we act on copyright complaints.
  • Respect for readers. We collect as little as we can, and we explain all of it in plain words in the Privacy Policy.
  • Free to use. Reading and publishing are free. Advertising on the site helps pay for running it.

Who runs 360book

360book is an independent project run from India. It is not part of a publisher or a bookshop, and we do not sell books: a preview is there to help you decide whether a book is for you.
